Mountaineers Host Heartland Conference Championships
The Berea College Men's Golf team returned to host the three-day Heartland Conference Championships this past weekend at Boone's Trace National Golf Club. Freshman Benjamin Parsons led the way for the Mountaineers with a 24th-place finish overall, posting round scores of +13, +6, and +5 for a three-day total of +24.
Sophomore Ezra Smith followed with rounds of 95, 85, and 97 over the three-day event. Sophomore Wyatt Clark finished just behind him with a three-round total of +73 after shooting scores of 99, 94, and 96. Sophomores Zach Hudson and Dylan Howard rounded out the lineup, tying overall with a three-day total of +82.
The tournament marked the conclusion of the season for the Mountaineers. Throughout the year, the team faced challenges and celebrated successes while continuing to grow both individually and collectively. With valuable experience gained this season, the future looks bright for the program moving forward.
