Berea Volleyball Concludes Four-Match Road Stretch Across Kentucky and Ohio

ADA, Ohio — The Berea College women's volleyball team completed a busy four-match stretch over the past week, traveling to Asbury University on Wednesday before competing in three non-conference fixtures at the Ohio Northern University Invitational over the weekend.

Match 1: Asbury 3, Berea 0

Sept. 9 | Wilmore, KY

Berea kicked off the week on the road at Asbury University, dropping a 3–0 non-conference battle (20–25, 14–25, 12–25). Genesis Casillas and Sydney Makle-Bradley paced the attack with 5 kills apiece, while Kiara Arzuaga registered a double-double with 8 assists and a team-high 10 digs. Nashaliz Garcia posted 3 blocks at the net.

Match 2: Marietta 3, Berea 1

Sept. 11 | Ada, OH

Opening the ONU Invitational on Friday night, the Mountaineers battled Marietta College in a four-set thriller before falling 3–1. Casillas spearheaded the offense with 11 kills, supported by Garcia (10) and Jade Broka (7). Brianna Negron Torres dished out 21 assists, Aryanna Erosa picked up 18 digs, and Makle-Bradley recorded four blocks.

Match 3: Ohio Northern 3, Berea 0

Sept. 12 | Ada, OH

Berea faced host Ohio Northern University on Saturday morning, dropping a 3–0 decision to the Polar Bears. Makle-Bradley led the offense with nine kills, with Garcia adding seven. Arzuaga tallied nine assists and Erosa collected 12 digs.

Match 4: Adrian 3, Berea 2

Sept. 12 | Ada, OH

The Mountaineers wrapped up the weekend with a five-set marathon against Adrian College, forcing a deciding fifth frame before falling 3–2. Garcia posted a team-high 14 kills, while Alaya Scoggins and Broka added six each. Arzuaga directed the floor with 19 assists and 24 digs, Spradling notched three aces, and Scoggins dominated the net with six blocks.
