Isaiah Riggs

Isaiah Riggs serves as an Assistant Coach for Cross Country and Distance Events at Berea College, specializing in middle-distance and distance runners as well as supporting overall athletic development across the cross country and track & field programs.

Riggs began his collegiate coaching career at Berea in 2023, making an immediate impact with both the men's and women's teams. During his time with the Mountaineers, he has helped guide the women's cross country program to notable conference achievements—including multiple All-Conference honors, individual Runner of the Year and Rookie of the Year recognitions, an individual cross country conference title, and vital distance contributions toward the program's first-ever HCAC Indoor Track & Field Championship title. He has also assisted with field event groups, including coaching conference scorers in throwing events.

Coach Isaiah Riggs

A native of Maysville, Kentucky, Riggs graduated from Mason County High School in 2020 and went on to earn a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science with a concentration in Fitness and Wellness Management from Eastern Kentucky University in 2024. He holds professional coaching credentials including the USTFCCCA Endurance Specialist Certification, USATF Level I Certification, and ALTIS certifications in throw disciplines.

At Berea, Riggs works alongside Head Coach Michael Thomas to direct training, race preparation, and long-term athletic progression for Mountaineer student-athletes.
