Xavier Tomlin serves as the Head Coach of the Men's Soccer program at Berea College, bringing a strong background in competitive NCAA Division III play and coaching to the Mountaineers.
Prior to arriving at Berea, Tomlin served as an Assistant Coach at Centre College starting in the summer of 2019. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in guiding the Colonels through the most successful season in their program’s history—achieving a 20-4-1 record, winning the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament, and reaching the NCAA Division III Final Four with a final national ranking of No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. Under his mentorship, Centre players earned multiple honors, including an All-American selection, All-Region accolades, and seven All-SAA team selections.
As a student-athlete at Centre College, Tomlin competed as a forward, helping lead the Colonels to two NCAA Tournament appearances and two SAA Tournament championships. Prior to his collegiate career, the Peoria, Arizona native was an All-District 1st Team forward at Centennial High School and competed in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy with Andromeda FC and FC Golden State.
Tomlin earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance from Centre College in 2019 and is currently pursuing a Master's degree through Fort Hays State University.
Xavier resides in Danville with his wife, Mackenzie, and their son, Xander.
