Berea College loses 1-0 at NCAA Division III Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Berea College defense held on as long as they could, but late in the 2nd half at the 77:56 mark a defensive blocked shot bounced the wrong way directly to the right foot of Mt. St. Joseph's Jasmine Cahill and she found pay dirt.  It would be the lone goal the Mountaineer defense would yield on the day, as senior goal keeper Annie Hammell (SR/Parkersburg, WV) saved 13 of the 14 shots on goal she faced.

Sophomores Jaquie Zimmerman and Breanna Sims (SO/Boaz, AL) registered Berea's only offense output with one shot each late in the first half, but one was saved and the other sailed wide right.

The Mountaineer offense will look to make a break through when they travel back to Cincinnati to face former KIAC rival Cincinnati Christian at 6:00 pm on September 10th.
