#2 Mountaineers Cruise Over Johnson 94-64

Box Score

Days after a thrilling home court victory over long-time rival Asbury University, the Mountaineers headed south down I-75 to Knoxville for a match-up with the Royals of Johnson University.  A let down seemed inevitable for BC as they faced the Royals for the second time after soundly defeating them by 16 a little more than a week ago.

The let down was in full swing as BC started the game down 10-2.  Berea would rally back on the strength of a full-court press and four long range bombs from Richard Parker.  The Mountaineers would dominate the remainder of the half taking a 44-29 lead to the locker room.

There would be no let down in the second half as the USCAA's second ranked team lived up to that billing going on a 20-0 run.  The Blue Crew would continue to handle the Royals leading by as many as 42 points until late in the second half.

The Mountaineers were led by Parker who scored 19 points; while Daishon Robinson chipped in 17 points, tieing his season high.  Dominique Garmon tossed in 13, while London Moore reached double figures for the 14th time this season scoring 11.  Tevin Webster pulled down eight rebounds to lead the Blue Crew.

The statistic that Coach John Hemenway was most impressed with was the Mountaineer's free-throw shooting.  BC went 22-25 from the charity stripe.  "We have worked hard on our free-throws, and as you can see from the ending of the Asbury game and this game; it is working," stated Hemenway.

The Mountaineers will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Ohio Mid Western University at 7:00 pm.
