The Berea College Mountaineers travelled to Demorest, GA to take on conference-rival Piedmont College in a tennis match.
In doubles, The Mountaineers lost all the matches, but they were very close. #1 doubles, Dakota Massucco and Michael Malpartida lost their match 8-6 to the pair of Andrew Chitty and Harrison LaBollita. #2 doubles, James Weaver and Sam Slater lost their match 8-0 to Chase Morris and Roman Webb. #3 doubles Chris Malpartida and Juan Chavez-Casiano lost their match 8-6 to Brandon Gregory and Harrison Sailors.
In singles, the Mountaineers also struggled, losing all of their matches. #6 singles Juan Chavez-Casiano lost a heart-breaking match, losing 10-8 on the tie-breaker game to lose his match 6-1, 3-6, 8-10.
The Mountaineers will be back in action Sunday March 31st at Brevard College.
