Box Score Brevard, NC – The Berea College men's basketball team fell just short of a miraculous comeback Saturday afternoon against Brevard College.
The Mountaineers trailed for much of the game and were down by nine points with just four minutes remaining in the game. But junior
Isaac Caudill netted six straight points and 13 of his 19 points in the last few minutes of the game to give Berea a two-point lead with just eight seconds to play. Brevard's Alex Wesig answered by driving the length of the court and scoring on a layup as time expired to send the game into overtime.

Trey Minter (Louisville, KY) completed an and-one to tie the game and force a second overtime. The Mountaineers led by two with 1:41 to play but Brevard scored the game's eight points to earn the 104-96 win.
Four Mountaineers accounted for 93 of the team's 98 points led by Minter and sophomore
Kevion Hudson (Louisville, KY) who netted 28 points each. Caudill notched a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Senior
Terique Miller (Richmond, KY) scored 14 of the Mountaineers' first 18 points in the game, and finished with 18. Berea held a 33-23 edge in fast-break points, but Brevard outscored the Mountaineers 44-26 in the paint.
Berea (3-5, 0-1 USAS) will have off-days Sunday and Monday before playing three games in four days next week. The team will play their only home game on Tuesday, hosting Miami-Hamilton at 4:00 PM in the Seabury Center.
