BEREA, KY. - The Berea College Mountaineers hosted USA South Conference rival Huntingdon College and fell 7-2
In doubles, the #1 doubles team of
Lavar Pharris and
Jordan Peterson put up a strong effort their match that they lost 8-2.
Mike Mecham and
John Whitaker, the #2 doubles team dropped their match 8-1. #3 doubles team
James Bailey and
Bek Rakhimov won their match by forfeit.
In singles, the Mountaineers were able to get a win through a forfeit as the Hawks did not have enough players for all 6 matches. #1 singles John Pharris was able to win 5 games in his match and lost 6-3, 6-2. #4 singles
Mike Mecham played a very strong match, but lost 6-4, 6-4. #5 singles
James Bailey was able to win 3 games in his match but lost 6-2, 6-1.
The Mountaineers will be back in action March 13th, visiting LaGrange College.
