BEREA, Ky. – Destiny Combs of the Berea College women's basketball team was named the Collegiate Conference of the South Women's Basketball Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

The senior from Louisville, Ky. had a big opening weekend, averaging 15.5 points per game, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 steals as the Mountaineers finished 2-0 in the Agnes Scott Tipoff Classic. In a 66-45 win over Pfeiffer University on Friday, Combs recorded 18 points and nine rebounds, four being offensive boards.

This is Destiny's first weekly honor of the season and the third of her career.

The Berea College women's basketball team returns to the court on Monday, Nov. 21 when they travel to face The University of Sewanee. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Sewanee, Tenn.
