BEREA, Ky. – The Berea College women's cross country team finished in second place in the Mike and Mary Kay Johnson Classic on Saturday morning. The Mountaineers finished with 39 total points and an average time of 22:23.86.
Freshmen
Madison Stonestreet placed first overall in the classic, finishing with a time of 20:09.88. Fellow freshmen
Carah Antek also had a top-five finish with a time of 21:48.82, which was good enough for fifth.
Other notable finishes for the Mountaineers were junior
Diana Angel Espinoza in 11th (22:53.91), freshmen
Brooke Donley in 15th (23:09.63), freshmen
Leslie Estrada in 22nd (24:01.06), and sophomore
Jasiella Grandy in 35th (27:20.01).
The Mountaineers return to action on Oct. 1st in the Live in Louisville in Louisville, Ky.
