BEREA, Ky. – The Berea College men's tennis team hosted Brevard College at the Wilson Evans Tennis Complex but lost 8-1.
In doubles, the Mountaineers went down 3-0 as #1 doubles including sophomore 
Lavar Pharris and junior 
John Whitaker  lost 8-3. #2 doubles of senior 
Brandon Ray and sophomore 
Bogdan Petric  lost 8-5, and #3 doubles including junior 
Mike Mecham and junior 
Jordan Peterson lost 8-1.
Singles action was a tough one for Berea, however they did not have the outcome that they wanted as they went 1-5. The win for the mountaineers consisted of 
Ray winning in a close one of 6-4, 6-7, 10-8. The final score did not depict how hard the Mountaineers fought as there were numerous close games including 
Pharris losing a tough one 6-1, 6-3, 10-8 and 
Whitaker putting up a fight of 6-3, 6-4.

This matchup concludes the Mountaineers men's fall season; however, they will return in the Spring of 2023.
