BEREA, Ky. - Berea College dropped a conference volleyball match to Maryville in three sets on their home floor.
Despite two road wins over conference opponents this past weekend, the Mountaineers trailed the Scots for much of the evening. The first two sets were tightly contested, with Maryville winning 25-23 and 25-21. The Scots ran out to an early lead in the third set, ultimately closing out the match with a 25-15 win.
Brenda Davila and
Julie Santana led the Mountaineers with seven kills each, with Santana and
Hannah Martin each recording a couple blocks.
Alexis McCullough had a game-high 15 digs and Idymel Ayala-Rivera led all players with 18 assists.
Berea will travel to Jackson, Mississippi, this Saturday to take on conference opponents Belhaven University and Agnes Scott.
