BEREA, KY – The Mountaineers secured a hard-fought victory over Franklin College in an intense four-set match, winning 3-1. The team's impressive statistics highlighted their depth, with a total of 43 assists, 51 kills, and 71 digs, while Franklin recorded 46 assists, 50 kills, and 72 digs.

Senior Idymel Ayala Rivera led the team with 35 assists and added 8 digs. Sophomore Alexis McCullough made a notable impact with 8 kills and 4 digs. Senior Deanna De La Torre excelled offensively, recording 22 kills with an impressive .300 hitting percentage, along with 8 digs and 2 blocks. Freshman Nashaliz Garcia contributed with 6 kills and a block assist, while Amelie Cora bolstered the defense with 25 digs, showcasing Berea's depth and teamwork throughout the match.



The Mountaineers are scheduled to face Bluffton at home on Saturday, October 26, at 2 PM.
