BEREA, KY - On Saturday afternoon, the Berea College women's soccer team hosted Franklin College, with kickoff at 1 PM. The match began with both teams demonstrating strong defensive efforts, resulting in a scoreless first half, 0-0.
The second half saw increased aggression, with the Mountaineers doubling their shot attempts from the first half, recording 6 shots compared to 3 in the first. Conversely, Franklin College managed 5 shot attempts in the second half after taking 10 in the first.
Despite Berea earning 8 corner kicks compared to Franklin's 5, the visiting Grizzly Bears managed to score with just 11 minutes remaining, sealing a 1-0 victory.
