MOUNTAINEERS SHOWCASE STRONG PERFORMANCES AT CENTRE FIRST CHANCE INDOOR MEET
DANVILLE, KY – The Berea College women's track and field team kicked off their season with impressive performances at the Centre First Chance Indoor meet.
Madison Stonestreet placed first in the 3k with a time of 10:40.45. Muhorakeye Joyeuse opened her indoor season with a personal best in the 3K, running a time of 10:56.60, which ranks her as the #5 All-Time Berea College mark and earned her a second-place finish. Additionally, Jaleesa Herman started the season with two All-Time indoor marks and set a school record. She ran a time of 7.80 in the 60m dash and followed up with a 27.80 in the 200m dash, earning the #6 All-Time mark. Her performance in the 60m dash currently ranks her #2 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference history.

In the Long Jump, Ashyia Maddickes achieved a commendable 4th place with a leap of 4.98m, while teammate Jakeisha Lewis followed closely behind, finishing in 6th place with a mark of 4.86m. Maddickes also excelled in the High Jump, tying for 4th place by clearing a height of 1.50m.

 The Women's Track & Field team will be heading to Delhi, OH on January 11.
