North Manchester, IN - Softball went on the road to face Manchester University in a doubleheader matchup this weekend. The Mountaineers came out of the weekend going 0-2 with the final scores of 0-12 and 0-21.
 
Game One: Berea - 0, Manchester - 12
 
In the first game of the matchup, Manchester scored 5 runs in the 1st inning. Manchester scored 2 more runs in the 2nd inning. Manchester then scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning, making the score 11-0 going into the 4th inning. In the top of the 4th Manchester scored 1 run to make the final score 0-12, giving Manchester the first win of the day.
 
Kylee Tudor started in the circle, giving up 5 runs on 25 pitches. Maya Meads comes into the circle to relieve and pitches a total of 81 pitches for 4 innings. Maya records 2 strikeouts while giving up 7 runs.

Going into game two, Manchester scored 1 run in the first inning. In the 2nd inning, Manchester scored 7 runs. Manchester scored another 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Going into the top of the 4th inning, the score is 0-12. In the top of the 4th inning, Manchester scored another 9 runs. This made the final score Berea 0, Manchester 21.
 
Kylee pitched the majority of the game throwing a total of 100 pitches. Maya Meads came into the circle in the 4th inning, throwing a total of 27 pitches earning 1 strikeout.
 
The Mountaineers are now 0-4 on the year. The Mountaineers next game is at home against Grace Christian University at the Berea College Sports Complex. It is a double header on Wednesday, March 6th, with the first pitch expected to be thrown at 3p.m.
