Berea, KY- The Mountaineers lose a single game against Asbury University. The final score of the game was 16-4.
 

At the top of the first inning, Asbury University came in, scoring three runs. The mountaineers would then answer back, scoring four runs from an error scoring Manrique Manrique, a single from Ricardo Serra, scoring Efrain Zambrana, a single from Fredison Riviera, scoring AJ Wylie, and Ricardo Serra scoring on an error by the third baseman. Both Asbury and Berea were scoreless in the second inning. In the third inning, Asbury only scored one run, leaving the Mountaineers scoreless going into the fourth inning. Asbury's bats were starting to heat up, with them scoring three runs in the top of the fourth, but the Mountaineers struggled to score runs once again. Both teams were scoreless in the fifth inning of the game. The Mountaineers remained scoreless for the rest of the game, but Asbury scored three runs in the top of the sixth, six runs in the top of the seventh. The final score of the game was 16-4, Asbury University taking an easy win.
 

The Mountaineers next game will be against Huntingdon College on March 29, 2024.
