Berea, KY - The Berea College men's soccer team went on the road Sunday afternoon to face a tough DePauw Tiger team. The score was even at zero for much of the first half until Berea let up a sneaky goal to Braden Murphy off of an assist by Aidan Whitley. Early in the second half, Whitley again found a teammate who shot from deep to make the score 2-0. The relentless Tiger attack netted three more scores late in the second half as DePauw held the Mountaineers scoreless and finished with a 5-0 win.

For the match, Berea had a total of five recorded shots, none of which tested the keeper. However, Berea goalie Jadd Rodgers had a tough task facing 14 shots, and recording nine saves. In total DePauw had 34 shots compared to just five for Berea. The Mountaineers had two corner kicks in the first half but none in the second.
The loss drops Berea to 0-2 on the season. The Mountaineers return home to host former conference rival Maryville College on Tuesday, September 3, at 7:00p.
