DANVILLE, VA- The Mountaineers traveled to take on Washington & Lee University suffering a loss of 0-3. Racking up a total of 25 kills from Deanna De La Toree (11), Alexis McCullough (10), and Nashaliz Garcia (4) against the tridents 31. The Mounties did have more digs than Washington & Lee with a margin of 64 to 50, from Deanna De La Torre (24), Idymel Ayala Rivera (16), and Amelie Cora (14)! The mountaineers also had a total of 31 assists from Idymel Ayala Rivera (24), Brianna Negron Torres (6), and Amelie Cora (1) compared to the tridents 42.

In game 2 of the day, the Mountaineers take on Averett University securing a 3-1 win.  The Mountaineers won the first set 25-18, the second 25-22, and the fourth set 25-22.



Key Performances: Idymel Ayala Rivera with 32 assists, Brianna Negron Torres with 7, and Natalia Colon with 2. Also scoring a heavy amount of kills we have Alexis McCullough with 20, Deanna De La Torre with 13, and Adrianna Ocasio Fonseca with 6.

The Mountaineer's will take on Huntingdon College and Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA on September 27 at 4:30PM.
