WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL WEEK 8 RECAP

Berea Volleyball Goes 1–2 on the Week, Secures Win Over Wooster
Game 1: Berea vs. Asbury University (1–3)
Location: Berea, KY — October 15
The Berea College Women's Volleyball team opened the week at home against Asbury University, falling 1–3 despite a strong team effort. Kamila Zelaya led the Mountaineers with 10 kills, followed by Genesis Casillas with 8 and Sol Yashira Rodríguez Nazario with 7 kills and 12 digs. Setter Kiara Arzuaga recorded 24 assists and 9 digs, while libero Amelie Cora Rolland anchored the defense with 23 digs and 3 assists.

Game 2: Berea at Bluffton University (1–3)
Location: Bluffton, OH — October 18
In their second match of the week, Berea dropped a 1–3 decision to Bluffton University. Nashaliz Garcia tallied 9 kills and 3 blocks, while Casillas added 5 kills and 13 digs. Zelaya contributed 5 kills and 6 digs. Arzuaga and Madison Spradling ran the offense with 15 and 7 assists respectively, and Rolland totaled 16 digs on defense.

Game 3: Berea vs. The College of Wooster (3–1)
Location: Bluffton, OH — October 18
The Mountaineers closed out the weekend on a high note with a 3–1 victory over The College of Wooster. Casillas led the team with an impressive 17 kills, while Garcia added 12 kills, 2 aces, and 3 blocks. Rodríguez Nazario chipped in 7 kills and 17 digs, and Alaya Scoggins contributed 3 aces. Arzuaga continued her strong setting performance with 38 assists and 14 digs, while Rolland posted 17 digs and 2 assists. Spradling added 2 assists and 2 aces in the win.
