Game 1: Berea Defeats Bluffton 2–0
The Berea College women's soccer team opened Week 6 with a convincing 2–0 home victory over Bluffton University on October 4 at the Berea College Soccer Field. The Mountaineers set the tone early as
Kristin Fischli scored in the 13th minute off a well-placed assist from
Sara Knight. Berea doubled the lead before halftime when
Jessica Powell converted in the 39th minute from a setup by
Payton Bugg. Goalkeeper
Elana Horne anchored the back line with six saves to preserve the shutout, while Berea held Bluffton to six shots on goal despite 14 total attempts. Berea produced 12 shots with eight on target and maintained control throughout, limiting Bluffton's possession even after the visitors were reduced to 10 players following a late red card.

Game 2: Berea Draws MUW 1–1
The Mountaineers returned to the Berea Sports Complex on October 5 for a non-conference matchup with Mississippi University for Women that ended in a 1–1 draw. Berea dominated possession and chances, outshooting MUW 14–4 and generating four corner kicks. Danitza Roldan would capitalize on a mistake by the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute, giving Berea a first-half lead. MUW equalized late in the 89th minute when Asia Glass found the net following a thrown in to deny Berea the win. Goalkeeper Addison McLaughlin made one save, while Jessica Powell, Kristin Fischli, and Sara Knight led a persistent offensive effort that produced eight shots on goal. Despite the late equalizer, the Mountaineers extended their unbeaten streak to two games and improved to 6–4–1 overall (1–1–0 HCAC).
The Mountaineers return home to host Transylvania University on Wednesday, October 8, at 7:00 p.m. in HCAC play at the Berea College Soccer Field.
