BASEBALL WEEK 10 RECAP

Berea College Baseball vs. Bluffton University (April 18)
Location: Memorial Field, Bluffton, OH

Game 1:
Berea fell 16–6 in the series opener, as Bluffton unleashed an offensive explosion. The Beavers tallied 16 hits, including three home runs, and took advantage of a seven-run fifth inning. Despite the loss, J. Brown led offensively with a 3-for-4 effort, including a double and 3 RBIs. S. Ramos contributed a hit, RBI, and a run. J. Nunez and J. Brown sparked a four-run rally in the fourth, but Berea's pitching couldn't contain Bluffton's powerful attack. J. Junta took the loss on the mound.

Game 2:
Berea bounced back in the nightcap with an 8–6 victory. A four-run second inning and a three-run eighth inning were key to securing the win. P. Torbicki crushed a solo home run and finished with two hits, while S. Ramos and J. Brown each contributed multiple hits and RBIs. G. Martinez earned the win in relief, and Torbicki closed the game with his second save of the season.

Game 3:
In the series finale, Bluffton dominated with a 15–5 win. The Mountaineers struggled after giving up nine runs across the fifth and seventh innings. J. Junta went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and F. Rivera, T. Palmgren, and J. Nunez added extra-base hits. A quick three-run second inning briefly tied the game, but Berea's pitching staff issued 12 walks and surrendered 13 hits. Starter S. Blackwell took the loss, falling to 0–7 on the season.

The Mountaineers return home to face Manchester University on April 26 at 1 PM and 4 PM, followed by a game on April 27 at 1 PM.
