Game 1: Berea Shuts Out Kentucky Christian University 2-0
The Berea College women's soccer team secured its first win of the 2025 season with a 2-0 victory over Kentucky Christian University on September 5 in Grayson, KY. Jessica Prowell opened the scoring in the 12th minute, and Sara Knight doubled the lead in the 21st minute off an assist from Jayla Heckler. The Mountaineers controlled play with 13 shots, six on target, while holding KCU to just two shots. Goalkeepers Elana Horne and Addison McLaughlin combined for the clean sheet with two saves.  

Game 2: Berea Dominates Wesleyan (GA) 5-0
On September 7, Berea traveled to Macon, GA, and powered past Wesleyan College (GA) with a commanding 5-0 win. Jessica Powell led the Mountaineers with a hat trick, scoring in the 13th, 39th, and 51st minutes. Jocelyn Santiago and Payton Bugg each added goals, with assists coming from Danitza Roldan, Payton Bugg, Lily Arreola, and Haley Trowel. Berea fired 24 shots, 16 on target, while limiting Wesleyan to just one shot on goal. Goalkeeper Addison McLaughlin earned the shutout with one save.

The team will next face Asbury University on September 10 in Wilmore, KY.
