WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL WEEK 1 RECAP

Berea College Women's Volleyball Battles Through Four-Match Weekend

Game 1: Mountaineers Outlast Brevard College (3–2)
Location: Montgomery, AL — August 29
The Berea College Women's Volleyball team opened the weekend with a thrilling five-set victory over Brevard College. Kamila Zelaya led the offensive attack with 14 kills, while Aryaana Erosa added 9 and Nashaliz Garcia contributed 8. Defensively, Amelie Cora Rolland anchored the back row with 18 digs, and Kiara Arzuaga set the pace with 20 assists.

Game 2: Berea Falls to Huntingdon College (1–3)
Location: Montgomery, AL — August 29
In their second match of the day, the Mountaineers came up short against host Huntingdon College. Aly Harris powered the offense with 11 kills, followed closely by Lindsey Holland with 10. Kinsley Martin made an impact from the service line with 5 aces, while Molly Wilson recorded a match-high 31 digs.

Game 3: Meredith College Sweeps Mountaineers (0–3)
Location: Montgomery, AL — August 30
Berea struggled to find momentum against Meredith College, falling in straight sets. Kiara Arzuaga led the effort with 12 assists and 10 digs. Garcia added 6 kills and 2 blocks, but the Mountaineers were unable to overcome Meredith's consistency.

Game 4: Mountaineers Battle in Four Sets Against Maryville College (1–3)
Location: Montgomery, AL — August 30
Berea closed out the weekend against Maryville College in a competitive four-set match. Genesis Casillas sparked the offense with 10 kills, 5 aces, and 8 digs. Garcia once again made her presence felt with 5 blocks, while Madison Spradling dished out 21 assists. On defense, Rolland collected 15 digs to keep rallies alive.
