Berea College Women's Basketball has Strong Week with Split Results
Berea College women's basketball went 1–1 on the week, earning a road conference win before falling in their second matchup.
Game 1: Mountaineers at Mount St. Joseph
The Mountaineers opened the week with a 52–49 victory over Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday, January 14. LynKaylah James delivered a standout performance, recording 17 points and 16 rebounds to lead Berea on both ends of the floor. Payton Bugg added 11 points, while Madison Howell contributed six points and nine rebounds in the hard-fought win.
Game 2: Mountaineers vs. Bluffton
Berea returned to action on Saturday, January 17, facing Bluffton and falling 59–51. Madison Howell led the Mountaineers with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Atyia Moss added 15 points. James recorded another double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, but Berea was unable to overcome Bluffton down the stretch.

The Mountaineers return home for two conference games next week, hosting Hanover on Wednesday, January 21, at 7 p.m., followed by a matchup against Rose-Hulman on Friday.
