Berea Goes 2–1 in Busy Week, Earns Key Conference Road Win
Game 1: Berea vs. Oglethorpe University
The week began at the Sewanee Classic, where Berea opened play on Monday against Oglethorpe University. Despite a strong effort, Berea fell 73–67. Lynkaylah James led all scorers with 22 points and 12 rebounds, marking another double-double. Atyia Moss added 14 points and five rebounds, while Madison Howell contributed 12 points. Joyce Mukalamusi chipped in with five points and seven rebounds.
Game 2: Berea vs. Sewanee
Berea responded the following day with an impressive 88–68 win over Sewanee. James once again led the way, this time with 22 points and 13 rebounds, achieving her second double-double of the tournament. Mukalamusi scored 14 points, Howell poured in 19 points, and Payton Bugg added 11 points and five rebounds as the Mountaineers pulled away in the second half.
Game 3: Berea at Rose-Hulman
The momentum carried into conference play on January 3, as Berea earned an important 80–75 road win at Rose-Hulman. James continued her dominant stretch, scoring 29 points and grabbing 16 rebounds, powering the Mountaineers to victory. Mukalamusi followed with 15 points and eight rebounds, while Kayla McClendon provided a spark off the bench with 9 points. Bugg rounded out the effort with 7 points and 7 assists.

Berea returns home for two conference matchups next week, hosting Earlham on Wednesday, January 7, at 7 p.m., followed by a Saturday afternoon game against Manchester at 1 p.m.
