MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD WEEK 2 RECAP

Men's T&F Competes at MSJ Alumni Open Cincinnati, OH – February 7, 2026

The Berea College men's track and field teamopen their season at the MSJ Alumni Open, facing a competitive indoor field and earning team points in relay and sprint events. The Mountaineers placed 7th overall as a team in the men's standings.
 

Glorie runs the 400m

On the track, Berea's 4×400 relay team of Jackson Gunter, Jaylin Drummer, Robert Russell, and Gloire Muzeba delivered one of the top performances of the day, winning their heat with a time of 3:39.06 and scoring 10 points. In individual events, Dustan Webb clocked 24.46 seconds in the 200 meters and Eddie Weaver also posted a competitive 200m time of 24.84 seconds.

Berea's squads also competed in the 4×200 relays, with the Berea B relay (Jackson Gunter, Gloire Muzeba, Robert Russell, Teancum Palmer) finishing in 1:37.82.

The Mountaineers picked up valuable scoring contributions at the MSJ Alumni Open and will build on these efforts as the indoor season progresses
