Berea College Women's Basketball Recap: Struggles at Home Against Stiff Conference Opponents
The Mountaineers opened the week on Wednesday, February 4, with a road loss at Transylvania, falling 73–46. LynKaylah James led Berea with 12 points and nine rebounds, while Atyia Moss added nine points and four rebounds. London Sweeney contributed eight points, and Madison Howell finished with six points as Berea worked to find momentum against a tough Transylvania defense.
Game 2: Mountaineers vs. Franklin
Berea returned home on Saturday, February 7, for Senior Day, hosting Franklin College. Despite a strong effort, the Mountaineers came up short in a 76–65 loss. James recorded another double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Joyce Mukalamusi added nine points and four rebounds, Payton Bugg scored 10 points, and Atyia Moss chipped in eight points. Berea honored its seniors prior to tipoff and continued to battle throughout the game.
