Women's Track and Field Recap: Berea College Hosts Landon Bond Classic
Berea College Track and Field hosted the annual Landon Bond Classic this past Saturday, March 25th. The morning began with a senior recognition for the decorated squad of Carah Anteck, Brooke Donley, Leslie Estrada, Kristin Fischli, Jasiella Grandy, Jalessa Herman, Timeria Jackson, and Madison Stonestreet, who have all re-written the record books several times. In terms of performance, the team continues to show improvements week to week, posting several personal records and top 10 finishes.

Event Highlights:

Women's 4x100 Meter Relay: Hannah Koroma, Alexzandria Hampton, Jaleesa Herman, and Oriana Perez Peña finished 2nd with a time of 52.28 seconds.

Women's 1500 Meter Run: Madison Stonestreet placed 5th with a time of 4:56.17, while Chrystal Cornwell finished 9th in 5:19.76.

Women's 400 Meter Dash: Kristin Fischli captured 1st place with a time of 59.64 seconds, and Katerina Kovalevskaya took 2nd with a time of 1:00.55.

Women's 100 Meter Dash: Oriana Perez Peña finished 4th (13.35 seconds), Jaleesa Herman 8th (13.78 seconds), and Hannah Koroma 9th (13.85 seconds).

Women's 800 Meter Run: Nika Davenport earned 2nd place with a time of 2:33.44.

Women's 400 Meter Hurdles: Lily Arreola placed 3rd with a time of 1:21.80.

Women's 200 Meter Dash: Katerina Kovalevskaya finished 3rd (27.20 seconds), Alexzandria Hampton 4th (27.26 seconds), and Hannah Koroma 8th (28.68 seconds).

Women's Triple Jump: Arianna Cooper claimed 2nd place with a jump of 10.82 meters.

Women's Shot Put: Timeria Jackson placed 9th with a distance of 7.13 meters.

Women's Discus Throw: Timeria Jackson finished 10th with a throw of 19.26 meters.

Women's Long Jump: Oriana Perez Peña secured 3rd place with a jump of 4.72 meters, while Ashleigh Alcott (FR) finished 9th with a jump of 3.77 meters.

Berea College will travel to compete at the Emory Dooley Invite on April 4, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia.
