Berea College

Native of Duluth, Georgia, and a graduate of Peachtree Ridge High School, Kim joined the Berea College Athletic Department in the fall of 2018 as the Coordinator of Sports Information and Athletic Events. This position was created through the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship Grant. In 2020, Kim was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics- Coordinator of External Operations. This position was made available through the NCAA Division III Strategic Alliance Grant. 

Kim oversees the promotion and media relations for all of Berea's teams. Kim and his team also handles the website of the Mountaineers, BereaAthletics.com, along with all press releases, multi-media access, publications, and statistics regarding the athletic programs.  

Since coming to Berea College, Kim has helped modernize the Berea College Athletic Communications department by implementing new social media initiatives as well as spearhead the transition to the new NCAA Live Stat program. He also oversaw the move from PrestoSports to SideArm Sports as the web host provider of BereaAthletics.com. Kim also has pushed to gain media traction of Berea College Athletics by local, regional, and national media outlets. 

Kim was a 4-year standout golfer for Berea College, winning 7 colligate tournaments, 1 USCAA National Championship, 2 All-American recognitions, and winning the coveted Mountaineer of the Year award as a senior. Kim graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Business Administration. 

He currently resides in Berea, KY with his girlfriend and their cat Nola. And yes, he is available for scramble golf tournaments.
