Berea College

Joe Saleem II was named the Head Coach of the Berea College Women’s Soccer program in the summer of 2017.

With over a decade of experience working with Berea College student-athletes, Coach Saleem has contributed to the college’s soccer programs in various capacities. As a player, he competed for four seasons with the Mountaineers, serving as team captain for two of those seasons. Since returning to his alma mater, he has held several coaching roles, including Assistant Coach and Associate Head Coach for both the men’s and women’s teams, before becoming the head coach for women’s soccer.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance from Berea College (2008), with minors in Health Education and African and African American Studies
• USSF D-License
• Member of the United Soccer Coaches organization

Personal Life:
Coach Saleem resides in Berea with his wife and daughter.
