Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Berea Falls to Campbellsville-Harrodsburg on Homecoming

Berea, KY - The men's basketball team hosted Campbellsville-Harrodsburg for the annual Berea College Homecoming game on Saturday night in the Seabury Center.

The first half of the game remained tight between the two teams as CU-Harrodsburg saw an eight-point lead trimmed to two at the half. The Mountaineers were able to stay close by shooting 60% from the floor, including a 6-10 effort from behind the arc.  The game remained close midway through the second half before Berea's shooters could not seem to get any shots to fall.  The Mountaineers shot just 35% from the floor in the second half and made 6-22 from long range.  The Pioneers used the opportunity to build their biggest lead of the ballgame at 15 points with just under 8:00 to play.  Berea was unable to mount any significant runs down the stretch, falling 94-82.

Junior Isaac Caudill (Blackley, KY) led the Mountaineers in scoring with 18 points.  Berea placed five players in double figures as sophomore Kevion Hudson (Louisville, KY) added 16 points, and sophomore Quae Charlton (Richmond, KY) chipped in 15.  Freshman Trey Minter (Louisville, KY) also had 15, and senior Terique Miller (Richmond, KY) scored 12 points.  Caudill led the Mountaineers with nine rebounds.  For the game, Berea was out-rebounded 48-33 and were outscored 68-32 in the paint.

Berea (2-3) will return to action Tuesday night in the Seabury Center, hosting Boyce College at 7:00 PM.
