SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Berea College indoor track and field team had a fanatic outing in the Wittenberg Invite as four student-athletes found their names in the history books by setting program records.
Sophomore
Larry Branch set two records as covered 13.36 meters in the triple jump to secure first place and posted a time of one minute and 10 point forty-eight seconds to land in ninth place in the 500-meter dash.
Sophomore
Cameron Bridgeman edged his name in the record books with a time of 23.09 seconds to place 12th in the 200-meter dash.
On the long-distance side, junior
Luke Wilson recorded 15:15.51 in the 5k to set a program record. To round out the historic event freshman
Kymiah Blair finished the 200-meter dash with 26.36 to set the program record.
Other notable performances for the Mountaineers include:

Anita Chukwu placing fifth (8.78) and sixth (8.84) in the 60-meter dash, respectively.

Calib Collier-Smith grabbed second place (7.36) in the 60-meter dash.
The Berea College indoor track and field team continues their campaign as they travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. to compete in the Atlantic Independent Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb. 28.
