Wilmore, KY – The Mountaineers suffered its first loss of the season on Tuesday night to Asbury falling 80-70 at Luce Center.
Berea went into the half 38-30 and continued to make the score stretch to double digits of 48-37. The Eagles began to trail and take the lead from the Mountaineers after Ben McNew and Caleb Wallis made a run with three-pointers.
Bryce Riley (Bardstown, KY) led the Mountaineers with 13 points and 8 rebounds going 6-12 from the field.
Trey Minter (Louisville, KY) also put 12 points on the scoreboard with teammate
Marquis Mackey (Lexington, KY) adding in 11.
The Mountaineers are 1-1 for the season and return home on November 18
th to play Spalding University at 6:00 pm.
