Game 1: Berea 0, Maryville 29
Maryville went into the top of the 1st inning hot, scoring 6 runs. The runs were scored by a single to left center, an error by the 2b, a double, and a single. In the top of the 2nd, Maryville scored 4 runs from two singles, a sacrifice fly, and a double, leaving the score to be 10-0, going into the top of the 3rd. Still in their hot streak, Maryville scored 9 runs in the top of the 3rd inning to increase their lead to 19-0. In the top of the 4th, Maryville kept adding to their lead, scoring 5 runs in the 4th and 5th inning of the game. Berea did not manage to put a point on the board, leaving the final score of the game to be 29-0.
Game 2: Berea 1, Maryville 18
Going into the top of the 1st inning, Maryville scored 3 runs. In the bottom of the 1st inning, Berea scored 1 point, with Maggie Dickson reaching home. In the top of the second, Maryville scored 1 run off a fielder's choice by the Mountaineers. The Mountaineers remained scoreless for the rest of the game. In the top of the 3rd, Maryville's bats began to heat up, scoring 7 runs. Maryville cooled down, only scoring 1 run in the top of the 4th inning. Maryville, once again started a streak, scoring 6 runs in the bottom of the 5th, leaving the final score of the game to be 18-1.
The Mountaineers next game will be March 17Â Â against Piedmont University.
