Berea, KY- Berea takes the win against Maranatha Baptist University. The final score of the game was 12-3.
 
Going into the first two innings of the game, both Berea and Maranatha Baptist went scoreless. In the top of the third inning, Maranatha Baptist got on the board scoring two runs, the Mountaineers were still scoreless going into the top of the fourth inning. With a scoreless inning for Maranatha Baptist, Berea scored five runs from a double by Ricardo Serra, scoring Jay Nunez, a single by Nick McLaughlin scoring Ricardo Serra, a double from Marcelo Manrique scored Nick McLaughlin, a double from Efrain Zambrana, scoring Marcelo Manrique, and a single by Michael Vazquez, scoring Efrain Zambrana. In the fifth inning of the game Maranatha Baptist, still scoreless, Berea scored another six runs adding on to their lead. Going into the sixth inning of the game, both teams were scoreless. In the top of the seventh inning, Maranatha Baptist tries to cut down Berea's leading scoring one run. The Mountaineers answered back, also scoring one run. The final score of the game was 12-3 with the Mountaineers coming out on top.
 
The Mountaineers next game will be against LaGrange College on March 23.
