Berea, KY- Softball faces Agnes Scott College in a double header matchup. The Mountaineers lost both games with the scores being 4-17 and 6-19.
 
Game One: Berea 4, Agnes Scott College 17
 
At the top of the first inning, Agnes Scott College came in rolling, scoring five runs. The Mountaineers only scored one run in the first inning from a home run by Aubrey Sowers. The Mountaineers remained scoreless during the second and third inning, but Agnes Scott College scored three runs in the second and four runs in the third inning of the game. Agnes Scott College kept adding to their lead, scoring two runs in the top of the fourth inning. The Mountaineers answered back, scoring three runs from a double from Mackenzie Howell scored Maya Meads, and a single from Baylie Dixon scored Julie Santana and Mackenzie Howell. At the top of the fifth inning Agnes Scott College made sure their lead was secure, scoring three runs. The Mountaineers went scoreless in the bottom of the fifth inning. The final score of the game was 17-4. 
 
Game Two: Berea 6, Agnes Scott College 19
 
Going into the first inning of game two, Agnes Scott College puts up one run, leaving the Mountaineers to have a scoreless first inning. The Mountaineers also went scoreless in the second inning, but Agnes Scott College scored another run. At the top of the third inning, Agnes Scott's bats were hot, scoring eight runs, leaving the Mountaineers to only score two runs. At the top of the fourth inning, Agnes Scott kept adding to their lead, scoring six runs. The Mountaineers went scoreless during the fourth inning. In the fifth inning Agnes Scott scored three runs and the Mountaineers answered back scoring four runs. The final score of the game was 19-6, with Agnes Scott taking both wins in the double header matchup. 
 
The Mountaineers next game will be against LaGrange College on April 6, 2024.
