LEXINGTON, KY – The Berea College Mountaineers concluded their season with a challenging 1-3 loss against Transylvania University. Berea's sole goal came early in the match, scored by
Kaela Correa in the 12th minute. Despite securing the early lead, Transylvania quickly responded with two goals in the first half and added another in the late stages of the second half.
Berea attempted a total of five shots, with three on target, while goalkeeper Addie McLaughlin delivered an impressive performance, recording 9 saves against Transylvania's 25 shots. The Transylvania team also dominated set pieces, earning 10 corner kicks compared to Berea's none.
Looking ahead, the women's soccer team will face Campbellsville University in their next match on October 2, in Harrodsburg, KY.
