BEREA, Ky. - The Berea College women's cross country team dominated this year's Mike and Mary Kay Classic, finishing first overall with a score of 31 points. The 5k loop was run on Berea's home course around the alumni fields located on the south edge of campus.
Sophomores
Madison Stonestreet (19:40.3) and
Carah Anteck (20:36.7) finished first and second respectively while freshmen Joyeuse Muhorakeye (20:45.3), Erin Chambers (21:31.6), and
Chrystal Cornwell (22:20.0) all placed inside the top 15. Berea's next top scorers were juniors
Summer Bahr (22.23.9) and
Jasiella Grandy (22.34.8), with Grandy's time a PR on the course.
The women's cross country team will compete again on September 30 at the "Live in Lou Classic" in Louisville, KY.
